The Colorado Department of Transportation has increased the number of passengers required to use High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Express Lanes. Known as HOV 3+, the change began Jan. 1 and requires a driver and at least two passengers to qualify for free carpooling in the U.S. 36 and I-25 Express Lanes. Are you a carpooler looking to add a third passenger? Are you interested in forming or joining a vanpool? We make it simple on MyWaytoGo.org. Log in and search along your route to find a fellow commuter. As another way to ease the transition, drivers who use their switchable HOV transponder in carpool mode only can receive the $15 transponder for free this spring.
