More than 3,000 metro area riders try winter biking

Friday, Feb. 8 was International Winter Bike to Work Day 2019, and Colorado dominated the world leader board! The day was bitter cold and due to a storm two days previous the streets were snow-packed: Despite that, riders braved the weather to get their early-morning cardio in and get their blood moving. While Way to Go estimates that many riders rode other days due to the weather, the high pledge participation is a testament to the rising profile of biking as a commute choice for Coloradans year-round. Around 3,600 committed to riding, with nearly 4,000 making the pledge statewide.
